NextEnergy/Detroit-Area Clean Cities Coalition

NextEnergy’s Detroit Area Clean Cities Coalition is driving southeast Michigan toward energy security. As a NextEnergy collaborative program DACCC draws together transportation industry and technology stakeholders to advance projects that incorporate alternative fuel, alternative vehicle, and fuel economy technologies into area public and private vehicle fleets. DACCC is one of over eighty Clean Cities coalitions across the country sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy. DACCC target areas include:

  • Alternative fuels
  • Alternative fuel vehicles
  • Fuel conservation
  • Emissions reduction

Detroit Area Clean Cities Coalition holds meetings and events, and communicates with vehicle users and the general public to increase awareness of clean transportation options, improve infrastructure for alternatives to petroleum, and connect fleets with opportunities to implement green fleet plans. Participation with DACCC is open to the public and members include:

  • Representatives from local government;
  • Transit authorities;
  • Fuel suppliers and distributors;
  • Automotive suppliers and Original Equipment Manufacturers;
  • Fleet managers;
  • Non-profit groups;
  • And others driving the future of transportation in Michigan.

Greater Lansing Area Clean Cities (GLACC)

As part of the U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities Program, Greater Lansing Area Clean Cities (GLACC) facilitates connections and promotes local efforts to advance alternative fuels and vehicles usage. Members include public and private fleets, corporations, nonprofit organizations, governments, utilities, and others with an interest in pursuing the latest in clean transportation technology.

Members receive a variety of benefits: from promotion of fleet activities, event and workshop discounts, access to Clean Transportation News e-newsletters and bulletins, to assistance with grant project proposals. Whether you're an individual, business, nonprofit, or government agency - we have a membership level to fit you.

GLACC is pleased to count as members the leaders in mid-Michigan’s transportation community working to reduce our dependence on petroleum and fossil fuels, such as Meijer, General Motors, Consumers Energy, City of Lansing, Michigan State University, and many others.
